<h2>Notre association</h2> <p>Bienvenue sur le site des <strong>Amis du Jumelage MÉRIEL – LLANWRTYD WELLS</strong> !<br /> Vous êtes au bon endroit pour suivre les rencontres, les échanges, les évènements et l'actualité du jumelage entre notre commune de <em>Mériel</em> et la chaleureuse ville galloise de <em>Llanwrtyd Wells</em>.</p> <div style="margin-left:0; margin-right:0"><strong>A quoi sert notre jumelage ? à tisser des liens avec de nouveaux amis gallois, à créer de beaux moments partagés, à faire rayonner nos deux communes et à mieux connaître nos cousins de LLANWRTYD WELLS, si sympathiques et chaleureux !</strong><br /> <br /> Evénements festifs et culturels, rencontres au Pays de Galles (Royaume-Uni) et chez nous en France, échanges scolaires, sportifs, familiaux… Tout le monde est bienvenu, que vous soyez déjà membre ou non, que vous pratiquiez l'anglais pas du tout ou «fluent» :</div> <ul> <li>Soutenez-nous comme sympathisant en adhérant en ligne via <a href="https://www.helloasso.com/associations/les-amis-du-jumelage-meriel-llanwrtyd-wells" target="_blank">HelloAsso</a></li> <li>ou devenez membre actif, en participant et en proposant : projets culturels, éducatifs, sportifs, sociaux, économiques : tous les projets peuvent être étudiés !</li> </ul> <div style="margin-left:0; margin-right:0">Juste quelques mots sur Llanwrtyd Wells (Royaume Uni – Pays de Galles) et sur notre jumelage qui a connu une belle histoire, et reprend des forces avec notre nouvelle association cette année :</div> <ul> <li><strong>le « Can Do Community » spirit</strong> : une façon de se retrousser les manches ensemble,</li> <li><strong>l'<em>hiraeth</em>, un sentiment de « pays de cœur » et de chez soi idéal</strong> (« Hiraeth : a very Welsh feeling »),</li> <li><strong>l'humour décalé et « bon enfant », on vous racontera des anecdotes</strong> : la course « Man versus Horse », le « bog snorkelling », ce qu'est devenu l'ours,…),</li> <li><strong>le charme authentique de ses magasins et pubs typiques</strong>,</li> <li><strong>des paysages variés à couper le souffle</strong> (montagnes, vallées, forêts et rivières – paradis des randonneurs à pied, à vélo, à cheval et amis des oiseaux, dont le milan royal…),</li> <li><strong>la culture et le patrimoine</strong> à et autour de Llanwrtyd Wells (Pont-ar-Ithon, Cilmeri, Llanddewi Abergwesyn, les mines, des églises pittoresques, l'abbaye cistercienne Strata Florida…),</li> <li><strong>des activités ludiques</strong> (Children's Playbarn - Llangorse Multi Activity Centre - King Arthur's Labyrinth, Cantref Adventure Farm…).</li> </ul> <div style="margin-left:0; margin-right:0; text-align:center">😊 😊 Partageons joyeusement tous ensemble cette belle aventure humaine 😊 😊 !</div>

<h2>Our Association</h2> <p>Welcome to the website of the <strong>Friends of the MÉRIEL – LLANWRTYD WELLS Twinning Association</strong>!<br/> You're in the right place to follow the meetings, exchanges, events and news of the twinning between our town of <em>Mériel</em> and the warm Welsh town of <em>Llanwrtyd Wells</em>.</p> <div style="background:rgba(0,0,0,.03);border-left:4px solid #C8102E;padding:12px 14px;border-radius:6px;margin:18px 0;"> <strong>What is our twinning for?
